I have a lot on my mind right now, as I prepare for my wedding and future with my bestfriend, Matthew, we are so excited! I can not even explain how much I love him. Last night at our apartment we played TigerWoods on his X Box. It was only my second time playing and I was beating Matt. Matt and I are both really competitive when it comes to sports, games etc. So anyways, Matt was getting upset that I was winning and he tells me, "I am only letting you win" but then when he took the lead he was all boastful about how well he was playing and how I needed to take lessons. Funny thing he ended up winning by 1, after the game he told me that he copied my moves. I thought it was fun and I enjoy hanging out and spending time with him. After we were done playing the game, Matt and I folded our laundry and I headed back to my parents house so I could go to bed. I was really tired yesterday and my mom had cleaned my room, organized my centerpieces. I love my mom. She always knows when I need a little extra help.
I took my bridal pictures on Tuesday at International Peace Gardens. My photographer is so nice. She takes the cutest pictures too. Her husband and beautiful baby boy came along with her. They work together and they both are really nice people. I hope they turn out good. I guess I will have to see. We only have 8 days or 7 days depending on how you look at it. My mom and dad came with me to get my bridals taken, and my mom and dad both cried when we were leaving the house. Nothing dramatic, just a little tear drop. It made me realize how lucky I am to have such wonderful parents. I can't believe how long they have been married. It is rare to find people married for 43+ years. I hope that Matt and I reach many many years like both our parents.
I had lunch with Mrs. Coon, my AP English teacher from high school, at the Desert Edge at Trolley Square on Monday. It was so nice to see her, since I miss her like crazy. I always think of her. She is one of those teachers that you always remember. I suppose that is why she became a teacher to reach out and inspire others. I hope she knows that she has touched many life's and will always have an impact on them. We talked and talked...both of us can talk:) I had such a nice time with her. Plus the food was excellent. I had never eaten there before, and the fruit was fresh and the avocado was very tasty. After I had lunch with Mrs. Coon, I went to pick up my dress at David's Bridal. I am so happy that our wedding is so close. I can't wait until that day, and I am very excited about our honeymoon. I can't wait to be on the beach in Mexico.

Eventful Summer!
I just wanted to say thank you to all my friends and family who have given us bridal showers and bachelorette/bachelor parties and for all who attended. Matt and I are both very fortunate to have such kind friends and family. Today my work had a SURPRISE bridal shower for me. It as very nice! They gave us four beautiful lamps. They are going to match perfect in our cute little home:) We have been using these pink lamps. They are cute, but just not the color we are decorating with, so it is nice to finally get a matching set that will match the rest of our decor. Speaking of bridal shower parties etc, I have been one busy camper with all of these taking place in the last little while. My mom, sister and a couple of my aunts threw me a bridal shower for my side of the family at the end of June. June 22nd to be exact, it was the day after one of my best friends weddings, Victoria's. She and Joe got married at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah. It was absolutely beautiful. The setting was perfect since, Joe and Tori(what I call Victoria) love the outdoors. I was one of her bridesmaids and I have asked her to be one of mine. She is an amazing friend! Anyways so the day after her wedding I had a family shower with my mom and dad's side of the family and then on July 12th Matt's sister's Monica and Angie, his niece Chey and his mom threw me a bridal shower with some of my friends and Matt's side of the family. It was very nice. Both or all three Bridal showers were very nice, and Matt and I received many nice things for our home. We also celebrated our bachelorette/bachelor parties Saturday July 19th as you can tell from my previous post. This was the day before we moved into our apartment and then we had my sister, Travis, Lino and Todd and Steph come from Vegas that night to stay with us for the weekend. They all came into town from Vegas to celebrate our parties. It was so nice to see my nephew. He is growing up so fast. I have seen him many times this summer, since my sister has been traveling to Utah for many of these parties, but I swear every time I see him, he just gets smarter and smarter. He is so handsome and I am so proud to be his Auntie Sarah. He loves his Uncle Matt like there is no tomorrow. He always wants to talk to him on the phone, hold his hand, wrestle with him and play basketball with him. Matt just adores him as well. Matt and I both had a great time. Thank you Thank you! We could have not asked for more. I am so excited to start my life with Matt and I can't wait until we can live together. It is so hard to go over to our apartment and then leave to go home, but we only have 15 days so, I guess the wait is not that long. Planning my wedding has been fun and stressful, but I am trying my best to stay sane and happy. Matt is so good for me, cause he is so calm. I am one lucky girl to have him. Yesterday was Kilee's 21st Birthday. We went to Benihanna for sushi. Matt hates sushi, so he ate dinner at the Blue Iguana which is a Mexican restaurant right below Benihanna's. I love sushi, so he compromises sometimes for me, and still goes. Yesterday we were waiting for Kilee, Chris and her family for an hours so that is why Matt ended up eating at Blue Iguana. He said it was really good, and would give it a 9 out of 10. Kilee drank a mojito, and it smelled nasty. I tried eel for the first time and squid and I ended up liking it. I usually just eat shrimp tempura rolls and spicy tuna rolls. Tomorrow July 24th, I have the day off...YAH! I have lots of wedding stuff to do, but I plan to go swimming in my apartment pool and then BBQ over Matt's sisters house. I am excited to see fireworks and just relax tomorrow:)

One tequilla, two tequilla, three tequilla FLOOR!

So, my friends and family took me out on the town for my bachelorette party on saturday night. I had so much FUN! We met at the Little America Hotel where me and some of my close friends and family stayed and we had a few drinks and I opened all the fun**(wink wink) gifts that they gave to me. let's just say some of the gifts were very interesting. We then went to Port O' Call where we continued to have some drinks, eat and dance. I have to tell you all that I had so much FUN...thanks to all my girls who did come, I will for sure never forget that night!
Planning a Wedding!!! Geezo!
May I just say that planning a wedding is so much work! I swear it is like a full time job all in its self. You have to plan this and that. Seriously i have been super stressed as the days draw near to Matt and I tying the knot! I feel so overwhelmed with all these questions about details that people ask me. I mean seriously people are you going to notice if i wear earings or would you even care if my hair was up or down. Probably not, I personally think weddings are over materialized, and that is why so many young couples struggle when they first get married. There are so many little details that I did not prepare myself for, but now realize,WOW! I am thankful for Victoria for helping me plan a lot of things for my wedding by referring me to really nice people that she used for her wedding. Anyways to all you married friends I give you props for planning your big day! Don't get me wrong i am super excited to get married, but it just seems so overwhelming at this time. Plus, Matt and I just moved into our new apartment and we are loving it! I can't live there yet, because my parents are super strict and old fashioned, but I guess it will make it worth it when I can move in with him. We have all the furnture moved in and I think it is coming along quit nice. I love red so I have decorated the bathroom in gray, red and black and the kitchen in white, red and black. I will have to post some pictures of the apartment once I have decorated a little more and organized some of the nice things we received from my bridal showers.
New to the blogging world
So, I finally decided to join the blogging community. I was on facebook one day and noticed that some of my good friends from high school had blog spots. I hardly get to see or hear from them, since they all are married and most of them have moved out of state or just far away. Anyways, I thought it would be nice to finally start to hear and see pictures of their families and hear about how they all are doing. So...here I am finally starting out to venture out with the new blogging world. It may take me a minute or so to get use to it, but I am super excited!
